I have a georeferenced pdf that I use on my iPhone with Avenza PDF Maps. When I try to edit it in an external program to label for example camping spots or water sources then reimport it into PDF Maps it loses it georeferencing. Is there an inexpensive option to add simple labels or tracks without losing georeferencing?

You could add that information through a KML that you display on top of the map in PDF Maps.

Other than that, you'd need to find an application that can edit a PDF while retaining the georeferencing. Adobe Illustrator with Avenza's MAPublisher can do that, but I wouldn't call that "inexpensive", I'm sure there's other applications out there that can do that too.

KML worked great. Thanks Hans.
