Hi Everyone,

 

I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get my hands on shapefiles of the 'Eco-climatic zones' covering Africa as shown at the link below.

You should try searching through FAO's metadata portal: http://www.fao.org/g...rv/en/main.home

 

But... I think there are better and later data out there.

Looks like that map is derived from just precipitation data, which I think is a bit too narrow to be called "climate." Might instead look at something like the K√∂ppen classification, for which shapefiles are available (ex: http://koeppen-geige...c.at/shifts.htm).

 

If you do want just precipitation, though, it looks like they have it at http://www.worldclim.org, though I don't have access right now to a GIS to see how it looks.
