I'm happy to announce that the 2nd Edition of GIS Cartography: A Guide to Effective Map Design is now available. The entire book has been updated where needed and it includes two new chapters: one on projections and the other on zoom level design. Several CartoTalk contributors are also contributors to the book.

You can find it via most online retailers including the publisher's website and this Amazon (affiliate) link. I never pay for or give free books for customer reviews of my book on Amazon. However, if you read through the book and decide to write a review it will help would-be buyers tremendously. Thank you.

Very nice, congratulations. I'd like to advise my department's library to acquire it, but the price will be frowned upon.

It is hardcover and full color though, that makes up for (some of) it.
