The annual British Cartographic Society (BCS) awards are still open to entries until the end of April.

Ordnance Survey sponsors one of the awards, 'The OS OpenData Award'.

Any individual or company is welcome to enter the award, so we welcome BCS members and non-members alike. The award is to encourage excellence in cartographic design and the innovative and exciting use of OS OpenData. The award will be given for the most outstanding cartographic use of OS OpenData presented for consideration. The only criterion is that the map is compiled from at least one of the OS OpenData products. The map can, however, contain additional information of your own (or of a thrid party).

The winner will receive a BCS trophy and a certificate, as well as being invited to attend the awards ceremony at the gala dinner of the BCS Annual Symposium.

You can freely access all the OS OpenData products from the Ordnance Survey website.

Find out more and download your entry form from the BCS website.

Any questions then please don't hesitate to get in touch with us at CartoDesign@ordnancesurvey.co.uk
