Hello, i've produced a new online tool to explore the creation of graduated color palettes :

http://geotests.net/...adients_en.html

Its based on the Hue-Saturation-Luminosity components. One can choose a starting color, an ending color, the number of classes and it calculates the intermediates values.

Its a prototype created to help illustrate a web blog about the use of color in scientific illustration, thematic maps in particular.

I'm hoping for your tests and comments, especially in a pedagogical context, thanks.

Hello, the tool was updated to offer the CIE Luv color space and transparency : http://www.geotests....adients_en.html

I added another version to fiddle with double gradients : http://www.geotests...._inflex_en.html
