Roseville, CA November 25, 2013 - Natural Graphics, the developer of terrain rendering software since 1989, introduces Terrain Texture Shader. This new free application for Mac OS 10.6 and higher creates images of terrain, far surpassing the detail of traditional hill shading. It's based on an algorithm developed by Leland Brown and presented at the 2010 NACIS conference.

While working on this project with Leland Brown, he has improved his algorithm significantly since its introduction in 2010. We have created a multi-threaded application capable of running on both 32 and 64-bit systems.

Traditional hill shaded images can be enhanced by blending them with texture shading, clearly depicting drainages, revealing small details, and enhancing three-dimensionality.

The new program imports terrain models in some of the most popular formats. It allows you to reproject and clip terrain models before rendering. Output can be saved as GeoTIFF and many other common image formats.

The above link for Natural Graphics leads to Avenza.com and there is no mention of Terrain Texture Shader at Naturalgfx.com.  Here is the correct link:

But, on the downloads page the link to the actual app is broken.  I was able to download it by going here instead:
