Hello All,

Just started a new job and wanting to impress the boss, my idea and so question to you is, is there such a mapping program that I can show all the routes I've taken on my rounds on a map? Like in Google maps it will show a line of the route to take, so is there someway I could add all my routes at once so it would build up a graph like diagram with all routes making a pattern to show where I don't go and so the sales man should!

If that all makes sense?

Regards.

Hi, and welcome to Cartotalk!

Your idea makes sense, it's called a heatmap and there's various ways of making them. Are you tracking your routes in any way (like with a GPS)? That would make the creation of a heatmap a lot easier.

Thanks for the reply,

I'm going to farms all over the region, working from 3 depots in different locations, I'm hoping to create 3 different maps one from each depot and one overlay map of all 3.

I use Postcodes to find the Farms using the Sat/Nav on my phone, I've pined all the Farms I been to on a large paper map, I just need to input locations on something digital.

What's the best programme to use then?

Regards.
