I am creating my first map graphic that is supposed to look like its from space. I've spent some time on the atmosphere but don't know if I have it quite right. I would love any general feedback on the graphic below.

I spent some time adding clouds but found the image more pleasing with a clear sky.

thanks,

Interesting.  My first thought was less space/stars.  Have no idea of what the yellow delineates, but I am sure that will be covered later.  Nice to know what direction I am looking.

Why not add major star constellations, Ursa Major or whatever falls in view, rather than a North arrow. It will be a different way to get your bearing on a satellite view.

A very realistic visualization. Please do tell us about the software and data used.

Thanks for sharing...

I exported a coarse image from ArcGlobe and then tuned everything up in PS and Illy.

This is going to be a wrap around cover for an atlas I am working on. There will eventually be some text in the upper right-quadrant which may balance things some more. I'll post another version once its further along.

thanks,

j
