Thanks for these intriguing articles, I'll definitely check out some of the books referenced in these posts. The science of color is fascinating, especially when it comes to data visualization.


Picking up where the author left off on good design aesthetics, here are some great color resources / guides to help people: 

Color Matters (a loaded site about color, from design to marketing, symbolism, science, etc.)


Adobe Kuler (create color schemes from the wheel, allows you to identify HEX codes)


Color Explorer (another way to choose colors, you can even upload images to match colors)


COLOURlovers  (search for specific palettes, less scientific and more creative)
