Some of you probably already know but I am leading and curating a digital map gallery for the forthcoming FOSS4G conference in the UK (in September). Can I take this opportunity to encourage you to consider entering some of your work to the gallery?
Here are the details for the Opening up the Map exhibit
You don’t have to attend the conference to enter. There are prizes available. The only rule (as it's an open source conference)…SOME PART of the map-making process (data or software) needs to clearly be open source…the more the better. Maps can be static (published as a digital PDF or similar) or web maps (accessed via a publicly shared URL).
Feel free to pass this on to anyone who is making high quality maps (emphasis on high quality…not just populist, marketing hype stuff).
