Anyone know where I can download/buy data for the Holy Land?  Current would be great as well as anything historical.

Thanks!

Hi, thanks for your replies.

Truthfully I'm looking for anything that's out there.  Obviously past and present boundaries, any environmental features, landmarks/monuments, cities, etc.  Vector data mostly but any rasters/aerial photography would be great too.

Thanks again!

You can find a lot of archaeological data here. I haven't looked into any vector data for base mapping beyond the usual freebies: OSM, Natural Earth, and Digital Chart of the World. DEMs, of course, are here. :)

In the last two years I map the holy land in historical perspective following my own river theory and looking for self-similarity as a facies with the result of an alternative learning methods approach and original maps that show the cycle applied at Abrahamic religions. I can sell map or data, it depends on the level of zoom and the use you are willing to do.

The best data available today for layering. I am using the same in my River theory for Self-Similarity as a Facies.
