Hi all, I'm looking for some examples of unique and interesting uses of maps or 3d terrain representations to tell a story or explore a project.

An example would be the map videos embedded in the NYT "Snow Fall..." story: http://www.nytimes.c...rt=tunnel-creek

I'm may be working on a project that uses a map fly through or interactive 3d map to allow users to explore a series of images or story details by location and I want some past examples to reference in outlining the new project.

Anything you think is particularly interesting or clever, or simple and elegant and uses a map or terrain as the base for reveling other objects and information or telling a story would be ideal.
