Dennis,

 

The new files are finished.  They are not yet posted, but it is only a matter of working their way through the bureaucracy.  I can send them to you ahead of time if you are interested.  I realize you may be too far along to use them at this point, but they're yours if you want them.  Just PM me and we'll figure out how to get them to you.

Well, I guess sometimes the bureaucracy moves quickly.  From an email I got this morning:

 

The files have all been copied over to the FTP site. They are in
/geo/tiger/GENZ2010 in the folders "/cd", "/sldl", "/sldu" and "/ua".

Oops (9:38am EST):

Sorry - we just found a mistake in the metadata and GPB took the files down
from the FTP site. I will replace them ASAP and hopefully they will go back up
today.


We include an area field which is in square meters, but the metadata says
it is in square miles, so it should be a quick fix.
