Hi

I am wondering if it is possible to rotate a geo located Tiff or  file and then re position it.

The client produced the GeoTiff in a northern hemisphere projection but we are actually located in south africa.

So when ECW is loaded north is pointed downwards

Here the coordinate system ( WGS84 ) is rotated by 180 degrees

I wish to therefore rotate the image by 180 degrees and re-position.

Is this possible by editing text information in projection files ?

Thanks

Chris

What software do you have? Could you rotate it in e.g. Photoshop and then prepare a world file by hand (you know all the important stats - like the cell size and the bounding coords, right?)

hi and thanks

Currently this is our solution to rotate in Photoshop and then manually re-postion using photo control points.

If there is an open source solution be happy to try

Thanks

Chris

If you just type up the world file, then you don't have to worry about the repositioning using control points.
