Hi everyone, 

 

I'm a sociologist with a need to create a nation-wide choropleth map using county level data.  I'll also need to do this for a handful of individual states.  It's a fun project, mapping the rise of local food systems.  The data include FIPS codes, and I have an .svg with FIPS, so they shouldn't be too hard to join.  Is there a company that might provide this service at a reasonable price?  ...Or a savvy person on the forum?    Feel free to email or call as well.

Is there a GIS program at UCI? This would be a great student project or internship.

Something like that is a very simple thing to do using something like Magic Maps.
