Reference maps with non-Latin typography

Can anyone point me to examples?  I'm surprised at how hard it is to find anything with a Google search.

I'm interested because I'm giving an informal talk on type placement and I'm wondering how cartographers manage in languages/scripts which don't have separate upper- and lowercase characters.

How it's managed depends on the writing script. East Asian ideographic scripts use uniform spacing. Some sophisticated typographers do kern Japanese kana, but kana is not ideographic.
