So I skipped through the video a bit and got the impression it was just showing off the web map (which I can't try out myself because it's in Arabic). I couldn't really get any link to energy shortages due to webmapping. In the past I've heard reports of Google (the company) using as much power as Belgium (the country), so I was kinda intrigued by your title.
