I wil be graduating this fall with a B.A in Geography. This semester I am taking Research Methods in Geography which is a class on statistical problem solving in geography basically. I keep hearing from people that it is good for a geographer to have a strong statistic backround. After I graduate this fall is it worth to try to get a degree in Statistics (it would only take me about 4 semesters to complete)? I feel that I enjoy the statistic side to geography and was wondering what kind of jobs a geographer with a strong backround in statistics could get?
My second question is: is it possible to get a good job with just a B.A in Geography or do you have to go to Grad school for that? Everyone in my school is saying grad school but I really don't have desire to go to grad school. I was just wondering what the CartoTalk community thought about it. Thanks!
