Hi all,
I've bemoaned this glaring ArcMap deficiency many times over the years... to wit; Why is there no readily apparent way to view metadata of all layers (data sources, symbology, transparencies, joins/relates, etc) in any given map project instead of opening the properties of each individual layer? Essentially a visual/printable breakdown of all TOC layer properties. I know I can manipulate existing metadata for each layer within an ArcMap project (via a .dll from ESRI Support), but, of course, this is different...
Hopefully I'm not missing anything obvious, but in this case I doubt it... if I had the time I might take a stab at building a script to do same, and I've tried ESRI support, but nothing comes up there. And prior to formally submitting a similar request to their tech. support and/or the ESRI forum, I thought I'd try the experts here who have been so informative in the past.
Many thanks in advance for any help you might provide.
Regards,
R
