Is there any other useful way to produce an interactive show than the powepoint

I would consider integrating your maps into a Prezi presentation. This is a really good way to dynamically visualize your subject, by zooming into and out of areas of interest.

What do you mean by interactive. Something that users can point and click to reveal information? A video of a screen show using Camtasia? Something else?

You can use ArcGIS Explorer online to create a slideshow.

As someone else said, sign up for a free account on www.arcgisonline.com and you can create a decent looking interactive presentation.

Also, you can use a free shapefile to KML converter and create a nice presentation in Google Earth.
