I am interested in an unlabeled physical relief map of Europe, part of Africa, and Asia made from the GMTED2010 7.5 arcsec data set.
I am not a skilled enough cartographer to get from this mound of data a hypsometric shaded relief map similar to Natural Earth 2, particularly when it comes to adjusting for relative humidity and ground cover in the raster coloration.
The region I am interested in is between 30W and 150E in longitude, and between 70N and 10S in latitude.
I am a novice in this field, so please bear with my ramblings.
I am looking for 0.5 mi/px, or 150 mi/in @ 300 dpi for the entire ~10,000 mile width.
Something like a 20,000 px x 13, 350 px file, I guess.
My calculations suggest that if I can get the Natural Earth 2 map (with shaded relief, water, and drainages) at twice the resolution of the 1:10m file you can download for free, I would be very happy.
I am interested in the Google Mercator projection, by the way.
