Check out this entry for designing a poster-sized map of all the locations Ninkasi Brewing has made donations over the years. The ~180 locations are spread throughout the Pacific Northwest in Oregon, Washington, N. California, Idaho, Montana and Alaska.

I get the impression the text labels curve along with the latitude. IMHO that's not really necessary here, the curve is so slight it's hardly visible (but enough visible to be annoying).

I thinks it's stunning and can't imagine a more fitting cartographic design for Ninkasi. The cartographer nailed it perfectly. I like the tone, typography as well as the integration (and digital extraction/reproduction) of their iconic "Beer is Love" logo which adds a corroborating meaning to the maps purpose. I can't help but wonder if an Alaskan inset was planned for the lower left corner - but think there's enough production value that it's not necessary since it's in the index.

Well done!

I think the curved labels are an elegant reminder that the Earth isn't flat, though this is close to limits of scale-dependance.

Very good overall. I like the choices of typefaces, placement, and font sizes. The lack of complete state borders (western idaho and Eastern Oregon) bothers me just a tad. I've seen this partial absence of borders before but only when there were large labels. Anyone else notice this ?

Although it's done well, I wonder why is the relief is included ? If the intention is to inform viewers of the locations, why should the relief be included ?
