We had one submittal in this category. Here is a link to the description and data regarding this MapOff.

Look at the map this contestant designed for Gigantic Brewing Company. The goal was to design a map using an industrial-comic theme.

What do you think of the design?

Are the buildings really necessary on this map? Seems to me they only add clutter.

I think the design concept is pretty cool, but the execution is very rough. Resolution is way too low (even in the full PDF), the top and bottom banner elements don't align to the frame, type in lower blue banner are mis aligned to each other, GIGANTIC label in top right is (oddly) kinda small, the map itself hasn't had much more than basic styles applied to un refined GIS layers, and the location symbol itself is a little hard to find on the map (small, lost in all of those other blocky bldg. footprints).

I hate to be a curmudgeon but this looks like it got a 30 minute resymbolization treatment and that's it. Unless I'm misunderstanding the goal of the submission?
