Here is a screen resolution background for the 1:63k side of a new Wind River Range map I'm currently working on. The backside will have a 1:24k detailed map of Gannett Peak itself. It incorporates an NDVI continuous surface combined with a canopy cover dataset to color the shaded relief. Details on these techniques and the rationale for using them are detailed in a paper presented at the ICA Mtn Cart Workshop and can be found here:
