It looks like item 3c of the legal faq is the important one for map producers, but there still seems to be a grey area.

The page says that it should not be used as a reference, but I still find it useful. The official license text is virtually unintelligible without legal background and the FAQ is a bit lacking.

I wonder if I'd alienate the entire Open Source community if I say what I think about having to read through all that...
Let's just say I love the license used by Natural Earth.
