Hi all
I know that Google Maps CAN be used but their rules are fairly rigid and i need to adapt the maps which they dont like. I have looked for days but have come up short on a free to use alternative that offers almost the same zoom level as GMaps.
Can anyone suggest? In short, i need to take screenshots at various zoom levels and then i will use them to create zoom in animation from space to almost street level.
Thanks for you help..
Marc
Is there a free alternative to Google Maps? Thing is, i need right down to city level

There's OpenStreetMaps, but I find their rules to be fairly rigid too, still, it may be worth a shot.

If you want satellite imagery it depends on your country. For the US try the USGS seamless server:
Orthoimagery
For other countries it may be more difficult.
