Hi
I am new to the world of gpx downloadable routes and need to find out how to convert ESRI shape files into a gpx format suitable to download onto a smart phone. I am running a project to convert a number of digitised walking and cycling routes so that users can download them onto their smart phones and use against a map background such as the OS or Google Earth. Is there a recommended website or piece of software that will do this for me and how exactly is it done? They were originally Mapinfo tab files and we have converted them to shape files. When we converted them to gpx using something called QGS the files were empty and it didn't appear to work
Any advice you can give would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jill
