Hello Fellow Mappers!

I am just taking the opportunity to introduce myself to this excellent forum. I have been lurking here and reading the discussions for a few months and thought it was about time that I came out of the shadows.

I have a background in Mathematics and computing and am just finishing retraining into GIS/Cartography, having recently got a GIS Tech placement with a municipality in SW Alberta, Canada. I have been feeling a little lost as I grapple with various problems in this new job and look forward to taking the opportuniy to learn from the collective experiences that gather here!
