For over a week now, I've been volunteering my time to create and maintain the www.cohighparkfiremap.org. The High Park Fire, which has burned over 56,000 acres, has been the most destructive wildfire in Colorado's history, and continues to burn. At it's closest, it was about 5.5 miles from my home.

I just posted a blog entry with some tidbits about the making of the map, how we optimized it for the 50,000 hits it got/is getting, and who was involved.
