Indeed! I had the same reaction about that comment when I read the story at breakfast this morning.

No more need for paper maps? Good luck with that. :rolleyes:

Sounds like Google is intent on mapping everything - the article mentions the "Trekker" - essentially the Street View device adapted to map trails.

Bryan, I echo your sentiment - one doesn't need paper maps until a device's batteries fail, or it gets wet, or you drop it, etc.
