Yup. Even though there is a 3000 pound weight limit. Occasionally one gets stuck: read local newspaper story
An acquaintance who lives at one end of the bridge says east-bound trucks are being routed this way, and he stops at least one a week, sometimes as many as five. He thinks, perhaps, the drivers are using cheaper, passenger car data, not the trucker version that would include weight limits. Or, he suspects, since the road is state maintained it might be classified as something larger than it is. (It connects farms on one side with exurbia on the other.)
I reported the problem to Navteq --they have a nice "report a problem" page.
Can't figure out how to do the same with TerraServer.
Is my information out of date? Who else besides Navteq provides data for gps's?
Can you think of anything else we can do?
Thanks,
Martha
