I want to select a number of rows from an attribute table with the selection tool. The problem is that the information is in date format "6:00:00 AM" and it is not reading the information. Therefore I have to do it manually, and I have like 50,000 rows in the table which is impossible.
How can I get around this? I've tried just sorting by time in ascending order, which works, but it takes a million years. I've also tried using the selection by attributes, this doesnt work.

date format "6:00:00 AM"
Is this a string column? Can you try parsing the strings and convert them to proper date/time values? (using python, for instance)

You can try querying from the attribute table with # instead of " as you would with a string field. Example: #05/15/2012#I want to select a number of rows from an attribute table with the selection tool. The problem is that the information is in date format "6:00:00 AM"
