I have two maps here and want to copy the information (mainly borderlines) of one map into the other map.
As I found out by using Wikipedia, the map i want to extract the information from is a Robinson projection, the map I want the information to copy to is an Equirectangular projection.
The problem is that the only place I can get these informations from is that Robinson map because it's a game map. The land masses are exactly the same as in reality, but the borders and states aren't.
I already tried that by just using Photoshop and just deform the Robinson map, but it's always a bit unaccurate.
So I thought about a more "mathematical" way and used Wikipedia to find out how the maps are projected.
Is there any way to convert simple image maps, even if it may be a bit cumbersome?
Convert Robinson to Equirectangular
