Adobe Illustrator CS5
I need a script which will select each named layer one at a time.
I could have 50 layers in a file.
If I can do this I can apply an attribute note to the contents of the individual layer and I can then run an action to select by attribute and apply a style. I can do this part but the fly in the ointment is that I can only select each layer manually one at a time.
The process I will use is to import a map file with many layers and run this script to select each layer and apply a style. I am using Illustrator CS5 with MapPublisher on Windows XP.
Does anyone know how to do this?
Illustrator script layers select

Since you're using MAPublisher, why not set up a Map Theme to assign styles based on layer names (the layer name is stored in a hidden attribute #LayerName)?

I do not completely understand what you are saying and what you want to do but I am pretty sure that since you already have MAPublisher you are well equipped to do this without the need for a separate script.
Perhaps an email directly to our support folks might help you get there.
