Greetings Fellow Mappers!
I've been a longtime lurker here on CartoTalk, and have found loads of inspiration and valuable dialogue. It's a great community, and I feel compelled to have a more active role.
A little about me:
For the past 3 years, I have been working as a Cartographic Technician for the National Park Service, based at Gateway National Recreation Area in New York City. I design maps for a diverse array of projects, ranging from visitor maps to internal planning documents. I also work on projects for other national parks within the Northeast Region. I have a B.S. in Geography from Michigan State University and more recently, have begun taking some graphic design coursework at the School of Visual Arts. Cartography is my main passion, and I am constantly seeking to grow my skills and design better maps.
I look forward to being a part of this wonderful community!
