Cartographer Needed for Bible Maps

Each map will need a Legend, a symbol showing the 4 directions, and an accurate scale. Each map will show simple relief shading to indicate mountains. The files will need to be delivered in print ready PDF. We will also need the source files to be delivered in Adobe Illustrator at the end of the project.
The main guideline is to keep just enough to show the probable route, but to keep the map simple enough so that the route is what stands out, not a bunch of geographic features. Thus, only a small subset of relevant cities will be shown. We would like to complete the project in 2 months.
We are a small independent publisher, and are hoping for a cost effective way to include these in a future publication.

HiWe need 5 base maps which will be used to make 12 maps that differ only in routes of the Roman Empire in the 1st century. The maps need to be similar in look to those done for a previous project, which we will give you samples of. This will be in black and white (i.e. grayscale printing). The size of the book is A4 with a minimum 0.5" border on all sides.

Please do send the previous project maps to promapper@gmail.com for a quote per map or for the full project.
Thanks
Anu

I'd love to help you out on your project!I've been in the cartographic business for over 15 years and now freelance full time. I've done numerous travel and educational maps so I know what you are going for in your look.
Please have a look at my online portfolio for some of the maps that I have done at www.coroflot.com/mapper71. You can email me at my personal email at m_swab@hotmail.com and give me more info, like what kind of audience will be viewing these and how much detail you'd like on the maps and I'd be happy to give you a quote!
I look forward to hearing from you!

I like the fact that the maps are of black & white because to me it symbolizes those times of uncertainty based on the Usurper period where Christianity was on the rise, but faced persecution from traditional Greek type religions, & from within as various systems were introduced, the book of Judas, & the cover up of Holy family line of Jesus. Therefore I am in if you can contact me through the private message board.
Thank-you for posting.
