Rename the unzipped file to a .grd extension? I prefer 7zip over the standard Windows zip.
The result appears to be a BSQ file, so you'll need to have the right software to handle that.

You might need to create a header file for bsq too!

Definitely get 7zip - I haven't had a problem opening compressed/archived files yet.

I tried to do it in that way (7zip and renaming), but when i try to open it reports some kind of error (like .grd file doesn't exist).
I'm doing it in DIVAgis- actually i need any kind of 'arcmap' supported type- so i usually use DIVAgis to do the transformation. Maybe there is better way?
You were mentioning BSQ file- i never used it so any nice link on it would be very appreciated
thank you very much!
