Basic question...I am just starting out with ArcGIS and attempting to make an orthophoto composite image from Landsat data. I've got my RGB bands and pan band combined, and the resulting image is OK, but green is way too green-blue. Does anyone know a good how-to file or reference for getting the best orthophotos from Landsat data?

Heres the steps that I used:
1. Download orthophos from geobase.com. I grabbed bands 1,2,3, and 8 for Landsat 7. SPOT 4/5 data also available - not sure which is better.
2. Open files in ArcCatalog and use "Composite Bands" tool to combine bands 1,2,3 (Data Management Tools > Raster > Raster Processing > Composite Bands)
3. Use "Create Pan-sharpened Raster Dataset" to add panchromatic band to composite image.

I would appreciate any help and suggestions!

I watched the UVM video once and found it helpful. I need to watch it again, probably several times. I haven't poked around ESRI's page to know if the data there are just for viewing, or if you can use them for analysis.

Good luck. I'm trying to teach myself how to download the data in real time to help in disaster recovery. I know I'm not the first one, so if anyone would like to offer advice I'm all ears.
