This may be a few days delayed, but never the less I thought some of the users would appreciate the info.

Blue Marble Geographics Press Release

According to Patrick Cunningham (President of Blue Marble Geographics) Mike will continue on as the project lead for GlobalMapper. For many of us GlobalMapper has been the Swiss Army Knife of GIS and my wish is that the price point and exceptional service continues. In my opinion many software developers could learn a thing or two on how to properly develop an application from Mike and the GlobalMapper team. Many thanks, for years of world class service.

Regards

Global Mapper is excellent for the price. I just hope that it doesn't get buried, the way Adobe buried FreeHand.

I think I should upgrade GM soonish, before it gets integrated into some bigger software, with a price hike...
