Greetings;

I use a VBscript function to build labels for my polygons and although it is working well I suspect I can do much more with VBscript that would make the process more complete.

I recently discovered a tag for bolding the text and for applying fonts which is great but does anyone know where I can find a complete description of the tags that can be applied via a function?

Here's an excerpt:
“<ACP><FNT name=’Arial’ size=’12’>” & [STATE_NAME] & _
“</FNT>” & vbnewline & _
“<FNT name=’Lucida Console’ size=’10’>Year 2000 Population: “ & _
formatnumber([POP2000],0,-1,-1,-1) & “</FNT></ACP>”

I figured that "ACP" is all caps, "FNT" is font. and "BOL" is Bold

What else is available?

Thanks in advance..

You should really specify what software and version you are using.

Based on the question, I will assume that you are using ArcGIS. But the exact answer will depend on what version you are using. Searching google for ArcGIS Text Formatting Tags should get you started.

You will find a list of Text Formatting Tags for version 9.2 here:

http://webhelp.esri....formatting_tags

Hope that helps,
David

Microsoft VBScript Language Reference is something I always go back to from time to time.

There are also some good examples found in the Label Expression window (press the Help button).
