Created a room on Turntable.fm for geographers. Feel free to share your favorite songs. Geography related is preferred but otherwise cool to hear what geographers are into these days. see you there!

I'd like someone from cartotalk to take it from there. Perhaps include a song with the name of your town in it!
I guess my taste in music can be summed up as "angry men from London". So let's see:
A Bomb In Wardour Street - The Jam
Bhindi Bhagee - Joe Strummer & The Mescaleroes (references "the high road" and the types of food and music to be found there, personally I think Kilburn High Road fits the bill quite nicely)
Waterloo Sunset - The Kinks
Guns Of Brixton - The Clash
Green Fields - The Good, The Bad And The Queen (references Goldhawk Road)
Stardom In Acton - Pete Townshend
I've long been wanting to do a map of London with the locations referenced in my favourite songs marked out. Or locations of important rock events...
