Do you know of any framing, maybe some sort of plexiglass that would work? They would like to be able to switch out maps. Thanks.
What about putting gromets in the laminate, then you can sort of hang them on pegs. It would be like traditional "GIS" layers

Anything non-porous should work fine. Glass would probably be best, but acrylic plexiglass would be fine too. "Dry-Erase" is more about the marker's ink than the surface it's put on.

acrylic plexiglass would be a good alternative.
Test it, though. There are solvents in them there markers...

So, my boss just walked in and asked if there is a material on which we could print our city map that could be a dry erase board. Or, if we could put the map in a frame that would act as a dry erase board. This way city employees could draw all over the maps as much as they want. Just want to see if anyone has done anything or heard anything like this. Thanks.
There is a special dry-erase lamination. Its a premium material and hard to find a printer that has it in stock etc. Normal 3 or 5 mil lamination tend to stain over time, regardless of use of solvents and dissolvers.
