I'm asking for a favour.
We are revising some maps which were last published from ArcInfo, using those good old IGL fonts. We are converting them to ArcGIS geodatabase format, and of course we need to find Windows-friendly fonts to replace the IGLs.
I've spent several days looking at various fonts but the difficulty is not being able to try before you buy -- you are stuck with viewing rasterised samples on a screen. I've narrowed it down to 3 fonts, and I've been able to borrow a copy of one. But I can't find a version of Myriad or Univer, which I think I would prefer. (or ideally, the updated version of Univers: Univers Next )
Would anyone be willing to take my Illustrator file (CS4), replace Helvetica with Univers and /or Myriad and send me back a PDF with the font embedded (subsetted)? All I could offer is my hearty thanks and a copy of the printed refernce map in the fall -- or perhaps there is a beer delivery service in your town?
Anyway, please PM me if you can help.
