Hi all --
I'm geocoding a set of data for a client and a significant fraction of the addresses are still in the old Rural Route form (e.g. Route 3 Box 800, City, State).
It's the first time I've had to deal with geocoding these sorts of addresses, and from what I've dug up online there are some commercial databases that convert rural route addresses to their street address equivalents (via a USPS database), but I don't really have any extra budget to throw at the problem. Has anyone encountered this before that might have some tips on how to deal with it? It's pretty important to my client that the addresses are geocoded to a more accurate level than just city or zipcode.
Thanks!
