Job Title: Assoc Cartographer

Location: Vallejo, CA (Northern Calif)

Function: Provides skills in digital cartographic and GIS mapping project tasks, which requires a thorough knowledge of cartographic mapping and GIS technical subject matter.
Assists in planning, design, and preparation of simple to moderate level cartographic compilations by integrating the most recent digital cartographic, map publishing and GIS mapping technologies to basic cartographic map production principals.
Assists with implementation and documentation in map production, and design and integration of the final publication or product design. Resolves routine cartographic problems. Edits details of maps.

Must Have: extensive experience with Adobe Illustrator

Travel: under 10%, may be to remote forest areas

Work environment: Typical office environment, except for travel

Must be fluent in English and proven ability to produce professional written reports, and to publish information for public consumption, for instance maps for sale.
