Hello!
I'm trying to split a specific line (length of X km) in Y meters.
I want that line to be cut in segments of 50 meters.
I've tried with split line from editor in ArcView but it cuts once. It's valid only for a feature.
If I have more lines with different length how can I cut all of them automatically in specific segments ?
Thanks!
split a line in segments (custom length)!

Perhaps the COGO toolbar, proportion command or
create a point event table converted to a feature class to use a splitting layer. Look up linear referencing for more about how to do that: http://help.arcgis.c...00001000000.htm

You could try Ianko's tools - ET Geowizards (http://www.ian-ko.com/) but the split polyline functionality isn't free.

As Gretchen mentioned, I use linear referencing in ArcMap.
