Hi everybody,

I'm doing some tourism maps of London, and the client wants me to include the tube (subway) map for London. I assume there are copyright issues involved; does anyone (maybe in the UK) know the particulars? Also, if I create my own map of the system, is that free of copyright issues?

Thanks, Melita - exactly what I needed. Now I can talk the client out of it!

TfL licenses the official map. If you create your own map of the system, copyright is not a problem, but you might want to be careful not to simply mimic the spatial distortion found in the TfL map. Here's an interesting version that's more like reality.
