It looks as though Google is starting to nibble into the geospatial enterprise with their new announcement.

I had to chuckle when I read this promo:

"Visually analyze geospatial data - without required technical GIS training to create a map."

Let the cartastrophies begin! :lol:

I think if they just replaced 'create' with 'assemble' a map, it would be less offensive. Still, Google is pretty good at translating technical, geospatial data and operations into simple to use and understand visuals and interfaces. Google Fusion Tables is a good example.
