Im looking for a datset that shows wind flow energy in the UK.

I've found a very high resolutoin wind flow map of the USA.

Does anyone know where i can get a similar quality data set but of the UK ??

The UK Department of Energy and Climate Change publish wind speed data, and have it available for GIS format so you can map it yourself. Have a look at this link here

Thanks for that, I have discovered this dataset too, however i am having extreme difficulty converting the file format into usable format which can be understood by a GIS.

Have you seen the last two pages on the PDF, http://www.decc.gov....ation-sheet.pdf that goes over how to set the file up to get it GIS ready?

That explains the process for getting it into ArcGIS, is that the software you are using?
