Hello,

Does anyone out there know what the marks on the Dutch map surround are (circled in red Attached File  dutchtopoex.jpg   65.15KB   95 downloads), and what function they provide?

Thanks

Absolutely no idea. Printer's marks? I'll ask around (good chance one of my clients is the one who actually produced the map).

I seriously doubt it has any important function, given how far away from the actual map it is.

According to my sources it's the military version of the topo map (with utm grid, that's how you can tell). The marks could be some NATO requirement.
